INTERNSHIPS
The internship program matches student educational goals with local business needs by providing students with practical business experience that reinforces their academic training. Internships can involve a wide range of business activities, from writing business plans and developing marketing plans to designing user-friendly accounting and information systems or web sites. Students may receive academic credit for their internships and typically receive financial compensation as well.
Employers can post an internship for students in the MBA + program by submitting a description electronically to Pamela Dusschee, Director of Career Services & Corporate Outreach at paml@pdx.edu.
Your internship posting should include the following information:
- Brief description of your organization
- Outline of job responsibilities
- Number of hours of work required per week (and any schedule requirements)
- Duration of the internship (number of weeks, or until project completion)
- Hourly compensation information
- Contact information for submitting resumes and cover letters
Our full-time MBA + students typically pursue a full-time internship for approximately 10-12 weeks during the summer term (late June through early September). Many of our students also pursue part-time internships during the academic year.
If you have questions about the internship program, or would like to discuss posting a position, please contact the Director of Graduate Career Services & Corporate Outreach. Click here for contact information.
