The Master of Business Administration (MBA +) program at PSU truly lives up to the ‘plus’ in its name. Our rigorous and wide-ranging curriculum gives students a uniquely thorough preparation for the challenges of the business world. Our business partners return to PSU year after year to recruit MBA + students for several reasons. Our students have a reputation of being particularly hard working, and more collaborative than MBA students recruited from other institutions across the country. Our grads have the technical acumen that you’d expect from alumni of a top-tier program, as well as the emotional intelligence to lead high-profile projects and multi-faceted teams.

MBA + alumni are armed with the right tools for success in the modern business marketplace. Our unique program helps the students assimilate to the working environment that exists today. Classroom theory meets real world experience through unique MBA + programs such as the Student Business Projects and the Leadership Immersion Retreat. Our students also work to hone their professional skills such as presentation, communication and negotiations. Every course reflects the core values of the PSU School of Business: Leadership, Innovation, and Sustainability. All of these aspects combine to make the MBA + graduate fully prepared to meet any challenge.

Employers interested in hiring MBA + graduates and in promoting their company have a variety of recruiting and outreach options.

On-Campus Recruiting

For organizations that would like to conduct interviews on the PSU campus, we recommend utilizing the University Career Center (UCC). The UCC provides the facilities and handles the scheduling for on-campus interviews.

It is important that you start by contacting Pamela Dusschee, Director of Career Services & Corporate Outreach in the Graduate Business Programs Office to arrange a timeline that will work for you and our students. Pamela will also work with you to ensure student awareness about your visit and the opportunities for which you are recruiting.

The School of Business Administration offers a free job posting service to employers seeking to hire MBA + graduates.

To submit a job for posting, please create a description that includes the following:

• Brief description of your organization
• Outline of primary job tasks
• Degree requirement (MBA + only, or any combination of the three PSU Graduate Business Degrees)
• Contact information for resumes and cover letters

Additional Recruiting Opportunities

We work with our business partners to design unique recruiting programs and events, as needed. Several of our business partners host information sessions on the PSU campus prior to interviews or job postings in order to make our students aware of who their organization is, and what makes it unique. Others include PSU in their larger MBA recruiting events at their worksites. Still others host events just for PSU MBA + students at their worksite, to tell our students about their organization, its culture, career paths for MBA grads, and the positions for which they are recruiting. We are happy to work with you to design a program that works for your organization.
