MIM APPLICATION CHECKLIST

Applying to the MIM program at Portland State University is a two-step process which involves applying to both Portland State University’s Office of Admissions and Records and the Graduate Business Programs Office.


STEP 1:

Submit the following to:

  1. PSU Graduate Application form
  2. $50 USD non-refundable Application Fee
  3. One (1) official transcript from each college or university attended.

International Students ONLY

  1. Official TOEFL or IELTS Scores
  2. Immigration Fact Sheet
  3. Evidence of Financial Resources
    • Statement of Financial Support
    • Declaration of Finances
  4. Certified English Translation of Transcripts and Diplomas


STEP 2:

Submit the following to:

  1. Completed MIM Application Form. Click here for online application.
    • Upload current resume.
    • Answer two short essay questions.
  2. One (1) official transcript from each college or university attended (except PSU)
  3. Official GMAT score report sent from the Educational Testing Service to the Master of International Management program
  4. Two (2) letters of recommendation
  5. MIM Scholarship Application (if applicable)
  6. Two (2) completed MIM scholarship essays (if applicable)
  7. Post-Bac Application Form (if applicable)
  8. A petition for any extraordinary circumstances that might influence consideration of the applicant.

MIM Admission Requirements

  • A 4-year degree or its equivalent, with a minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or higher

  • GMAT exam (GRE exam accepted for Fall 2009 applications only)

  • Completion of MIM prerequisites (if needed)

  • International students whose first language is not English, and who have not completed a degree from an accredited U.S. institution, must score at least 550 on the paper-based, 213 on the computer-based, and 79 on the internet-based TOEFL Test or 7.0 on the IELTS test

  • International students must also present proof of their financial resources

 

 

MIM prerequisites include Financial and Managerial Accounting, Micro & Macro Economics, Statistics and Business Finance.

Applicants can complete these prerequisites at any community college or university, or through the MIM prerequisite program.
