MIM APPLICATION CHECKLIST
Applying to the MIM program at Portland State University is a two-step process which involves applying to both Portland State University’s Office of Admissions and Records and the Graduate Business Programs Office.
STEP 1:

- $50 USD non-refundable Application Fee
- One (1) official transcript from each college or university attended.
International Students ONLY
- Official TOEFL or IELTS Scores
- Immigration Fact Sheet
- Evidence of Financial Resources
- Statement of Financial Support
- Declaration of Finances
- Certified English Translation of Transcripts and Diplomas
STEP 2:

- Completed MIM Application Form. Click here for online application.
- Upload current resume.
- Answer two short essay questions.
- One (1) official transcript from each college or university attended (except PSU)
- Official GMAT score report sent from the Educational Testing Service to the Master of International Management program
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
- MIM Scholarship Application (if applicable)
- Two (2) completed MIM scholarship essays (if applicable)
- Post-Bac Application Form (if applicable)
- A petition for any extraordinary circumstances that might influence consideration of the applicant.
MIM Admission Requirements
- A 4-year degree or its equivalent, with a minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or higher
- GMAT exam (GRE exam accepted for Fall 2009 applications only)
- Completion of MIM prerequisites (if needed)
- International students whose first language is not English, and who have not completed a degree from an accredited U.S. institution, must score at least 550 on the paper-based, 213 on the computer-based, and 79 on the internet-based TOEFL Test or 7.0 on the IELTS test
- International students must also present proof of their financial resources
MIM prerequisites include Financial and Managerial Accounting, Micro & Macro Economics, Statistics and Business Finance.
Applicants can complete these prerequisites at any community college or university, or through the MIM prerequisite program.
