MIM TEAM BUILDING EXCURSION
Each new MIM program cohort begins the fall term with an exciting team building excursion to Central Oregon.
Itinerary: Students can expect to enjoy four days and three nights of outdoor team building activities that include a GPS challenge, hiking, rock climbing, canoeing and rafting. Students sleep in cabins at night and are divided into two groups by day to participate in a variety of team building activities. Locations include Suttle Lake, the Deschutes River and Smith Rock State Park.
Special Skills: All of our activities call for students to work together, building an early framework for the teamwork skills students will use frequently in the MIM program. As one recent student stated, “...you have to work in a team, you have to trust your team members, and it is challenging, but getting to the top of the peak — and what you learn in the process — makes it all worthwhile.”
Friendship: Of course, the biggest draw of the excursion is the chance to meet and mingle with your future MIM classmates in a fun outdoor setting. Many students find that they have already made friends by the time the bus arrives at the campsite!
