MIM Internships
The local business community benefits greatly from the MIM Internship program. Not only do students receive practical business experience that reinforces their academic training, but local businesses also get valuable assistance meeting their needs.
Internships are posted each term. Students may receive academic credit for their internships and typically receive financial compensation as well. Because of the accelerated nature of the MIM program, most students are unable to accommodate a full-time internship. As a result, most MIM internship projects are designed to be completed part-time during the academic year and during the summer.
Internships can involve a wide range of business activities such as:
- writing international business plans
- developing global marketing plans
- performing supply chain analysis
- creating and implementing new finance or accounting initiatives
Internship postings should include the following information:
- Brief description of your organization
- Outline of job responsibilities
- Number of hours of work required per week (and any schedule requirements)
- Duration of the internship (number of weeks, or until project completion)
- Hourly compensation information
- Contact information for submitting resumes and cover letters
Employers can post an internship for students in the MIM program by submitting a description electronically to the Director of Career Services & Corporate Outreach. If you have questions about the internship program, or would like to discuss posting a position, please contact the Director of Career Services & Corporate Outreach.
