ACCREDITATION
Many business schools are accredited, but only the best are accredited by AACSB International .
Portland State University graduate business programs and its accounting programs are accredited by AACSB International, the world's leading accrediting body for business education. To achieve accreditation, business programs must satisfy the expectations of a wide range of quality standards relating to strategic management of resources, interactions of faculty and students in the educational process, and achievement of learning goals in degree programs. These standards are mission-linked.
During the accreditation process, Portland State University is visited and evaluated by business school deans with detailed knowledge of management education, applying accreditation standards that are widely accepted in the educational community. Approximately 170 business schools worldwide have both general and accounting accreditation from AACSB International, including the top business schools as ranked by U.S. News & World Report, which only ranks AACSB International-accredited schools.
